Best No-Hiking Summit Elopement: Mt. Mansfield – Stowe, Vermont


Nothing says "Vermont" more than a mountaintop with an epic view.


Accessible via gondola ride or hike, the Stowe Gondola SkyRide lets you enjoy the beautiful mountain views without having to hike to the summit in your wedding attire!

Open daily June through October, 10:00 AM - 4:30 PM (exact dates and hours vary year to year), it is the perfect elopement location for those who aren't into a day-long hike.


Tickets to ride can be purchased in advance online or in person. I highly recommend booking in advance, especially in peak foliage season. Better safe than sorry!

Skip the cake cutting! Celebrate your nuptials with a delicious waffle from the top of the Mansfield Gondola in Stowe, VT. This location is easily accessible and has a very casual vibe!

Another reason the summit of Mt. Mansfield is a home run elopement location is the accessibility, the Gondola is wheelchair accessible! There aren't many locations that can boast a view like that with accessibility to folks with limited mobility.


Best Hiking Elopement: Stowe Pinnacle – Stowe, Vermont


You want something outdoorsy, fun and totally free? This is for you:


Stowe really does have it all, great hiking is no exception. Stowe Pinnacle is a beautiful hike that can be done year round, weather permitting.

Though this hike is not incredibly long, it does have a magnificent payoff, even when the views are clouded by snowfall, the atmosphere is magical.


Expect a round trip of about 4 miles all in, it's important to be prepared with water and make sure you can comfortably carry all that you need with you.


For winter hikes, bring warm layers, crampons, a bottle of bubbly and your bouquet!


Wrap up your day in town at a cozy restaurant or check out one of the many breweries.
